Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year....plus a wedding brief...part 1.
Hello Friends,
A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and your love ones.
Sorry for not been visiting your cribs...cause for the past week i have been busy with my big day...:)
The big day came and it was on the 22.12.2008. Just family and relatives only. Will post some of the pictures when it is available...it is in the process.
Here is a 'brief' on what happened that day. Would like to thank God for giving us a good weather. During the important part of the events, no rain.
For me the day went by so fast...could not believe it when it was in the evening we were waiting to be called to go in to the dining hall.
My day started around 6:30am, getting ready to fetch my wife. She has to be at my house (dad's house) before 10am. My cousin came and help out at the kitchen, her mom cook tradition 'mee sua'. I had a bit before going off. Too excited to be hungry though...:)
My eldest cousin was the driver (i was his driver when he got married). He came on the dot at 7:30am. Another cousin came and he was the camera man...took video clips of me changing my baju (except for the pants part) and my dad helped me put on my suit. It was a humbling experience for me.
(Dad was very happy and excited about my marriage. Because of his work, he knows a lot of people, so in order not to offend anyone by leaving them out...we decided not to invite any friends from our side. My wife on the other hand can invite friends. Lucky we have common friends who i am also close to.)
Went to fetch my wife at 8:00am. With my aunty as the 'match maker'. And my brother as my best man. Reach my wife's place at about 8:25am. I had clear a few 'hurdles' before i can reach my wife.
The first hurdle was opening the door by one of my wife's nephew. I had to get ready many 'ang pows'/ red packets. Gave about 3 packets baru he open my car door. Then the next hurdle the girls part...they blcok the main entrace to the house. Also have to give many red packets. After that, asked me to sing a song to my wife. hehe...lucky i got practise one song 'You took my heart away' by Michael learns to Rock. I sang the chorus part only.
Cleared that one, i had to eat a bowl of 'mee sua' with 2 eggs. Lucky they were mercyful with me and did not ask me to eat the whole bowl. Just had a few bites and with all the cameras on me. First time eating like the whole world was watching.
After that hurdle, went up the stairs and another small gate is closed and again...red packet time. After all the kids had the red packet...baru small gate opened. Then came the door to her room. I have to say some sweet words for her to hear before they open the door. Wow...at that moment with everything that was going on...me and my mates could not think of any...but lucky some gave some ideas.
[Oh ya...before i forget, two of my mates/ buddies took time off to help me go and fetch my wife. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.]
My aunty also helped me with the sweet words....she said it in chinese...i think it is something like...'i will love you for million years'. I used that and my second verse i used english. "Forget about the past, for the future i will be with you always"....something like that...have to watch the video recording again...:)
Final hurdle...they tied my eyes and i had to guess which hands belongs to my wife. Not an easy task....lucky the first two belongs to the nephews...:) I think the fourth or number 5 belongs to my wife....ha...finally got her.
Kneel on one knee and gave her flowers. Went down stairs and gave teas to my mother and father in law. Went inside the car, have to go forward and backward 3 times before can proceed to my place.
To be continue.......

Important message..
Got this from email.
THIS INFORMATION NEEDS TO BE SHARED!
Microwaved water - one MUST read
A 26-year old guy decided to have a cup of coffee. He took a cup of water and put it in the microwave to heat it up (something that he had done numerous times before).
I am not sure how long he set the timer for, but he told me he wanted to bring the water to a boil. When the timer shut the oven off, he removed the cup from the oven. As he looked into the cup, he noted that the water was not boiling, but instantly the water in the cup 'blew-up' into his face.
The cup remained intact until he threw it out of his hand but all the water had flown out into his face due to the build up of energy. His whole face is blistered and he has 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face, which may leave scarring. He also may have lost partial sight in his left eye.. While at the hospital, the doctor who was attending to him stated that this is fairly common occurrence and water (alone) should never be heated in a microwave oven. If water is heated in this manner, something should be placed in the cup to diffuse the energy such as: a wooden stir stick, tea bag, etc. It is however a much safer choice to boil the water in a tea kettle.
General Electric 's (GE) response:
Thanks for contacting us. I will be happy to assist you. The e-mail that you received is correct. Micro waved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the boiling point. They can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. The superheated liquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or teabag is put into it. To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds before moving it or adding anything into it.
If you pass this on .... you could very well save someone from a lot of pain and suffering.

I think most of you have seen this movie..."Ma Ma Mia"..starring Pierce Brosnan (my fav Bond) and Meryl Streep.
I only saw it recently...waited for the DVD to come out. And i love it. Not easy singing and dancing especially for Meryl. And the songs from ABBA...simply devine.
I will try to sing 'Winner takes it all'..:)
Any way...here is clip from the movie for those who have not watched it. Happy Weekend to all of you.
