Hope this is ok. I love this song. It is from the 'oldies'. Hard to find this song in karaoke.

Sorry first, i think i mess up a bit in some parts.

Knocked on the door...

This morning around 5:30am, there was a knocked on my door. I thought i was dreaming when i heard it. After the third knocked and my name was called, then i realise, i was not dreaming...dad was knocking on my door.

When i open the door, he asked me whether i wanted to go visit grandma...its 'Ching Ming', 'old souls day' for Chinese.

[ Its where people go to their family members (those who had passed on) cemetery to pay respect. Its a yearly thing (my second one though), real date is on the 4th of April, normally it is on the 5th. This year it is on the 5th because of the extra day in the month of February.]

I forgot what i said, (i think i replied ok in my sleepiness)....so went and get ready.

Met up with my uncle (dad's older bro) at around 6am, off we went to the cemetery with (Hell money, jost sticks, food, paper clothings, shoes, slippers) to burn for my grand ma and uncle.

As we reached the place, the road was packed. Last year had bad experience in trying to leave the place, so we park a bit further from the area and walked in with the things. Due to my sleepiness, forgot to bring my camera but then again, may not be nice in taking pictures.

We went to my uncle's first. He passed on in 2001, had an accident in timber camp and at that time also found out, he had lung cancer (due to smorking)....never fully recover from the accident.

My uncle is a pro in handling the rituals,(i am a Christian). I do not burn the jost stick. Just help to burn the 'money' (do u know they even have it in US$, 1 piece is 10 million USD). We burn a lot of pieces...:)

Smoke was bad, cause many people did the same thing. And this year some of them even burned fire crackers. After about 1 hour plus of burning the stuffs....we headed to my grandma's.

She passed on in the year 1993...she have had a good life.
She spent most of her later life in Singpore. Visited Europe once. Visited China a few times. One thing she always do to her grandchildren (me included), is to 'bite' our cheeks...especially when young, got chubby face...haha.

After uncle's place, we went to grandma's. Hers need more clearing up, cause got grass and weeds. Dad and i pulled the weeds while uncle did the ritual.

We finish there about 8:40am, then headed to my grand dad's. His is at different area...he became a christian before he passed on. Dad had function to go to at 9:30am, so we went there burn candles and uncle put some food for offering (normally for Christian, no food offering, but my uncle not a christian and he loves his dad)...dad had a quick prayer and off we go, left uncle dad to sort it out, while me and dad went home to shower and change (we went in one car). After that i went back to pick up my uncle and went for breakfast.

I do not know much about my granddad, he passed on when i was only a baby...so no recollection of him.

One thing sad about this chinese custom, daughters (those who are married) are not allow to visit their parent's grave. I find it sad. Cause i know my dad's sis (my aunty) whould have love to come.

I don;t know..i think Christians and westerners does not have this belief (i may be wrong).

Car tyre problem...

For the past two weeks, while i was driving, i notice two cars, back left side tyre not up to par. Different days but same area (what a coincidence).

One was a Kenari or Kancil (guy driving). I saw the car tyre..not enough air. When the car stopped at the traffic light, i roll down my window and informed him. He must have been surprised by it.

A week later, a lady driving a Toyota Unser, her tyre was wobbly...got air but do not know why it was wobbly and she drove quite fast again. I followed her and lucky she was heading to where i was going. And when the car stop...her passenger side, an old lady came out and i told the lady that the car tyre is not good...as driver drove off, she noticed it and thanked me.

Any way hope they get it fixed. I have had tyre problems before and thank God was not involved in any serious accidents.

Now...there have been cases where people temper with car tyres so that they can rob them. As i was thinking of warning the two cars above, i was also thinking whether they think i am going to rob them or not. But safety is number 1 priorty. So i just went ahead to warn them.

My advice is, if you ever find ur self in this situation, please drive to the side after some one had 'warn/inform' you and do not get out of the car. Call ur family or friends and tell them where u r and that some one had warn you abt the tyre. Make sure door is locked and wait until ur family or friends come to help/check with you.

Do not straight away stop car and get out....never know if some one had disturb the tyre. And if possible remember the car number or motorbike number of the person who gave out the... 'warn/inform' about the tyre.

1. I like to play golf and badminton.
2. I can easily cry when something sad happen. Exterior i may look tough and 'cool'..but interior... am a softie.

What would u have done?

Last Friday evening.

Brought my gf and her friend to a shopping mall. While they were shopping, i went to get my dinner.

Bought a newspaper and went to the eating place. Have been there many times and happy with the service there. UNTIL that night. The place was not full.

After i ordered my drink and food, i read my newspaper. Drink arrived abt 5 mins.

Few minutes later there were a couple next to my table. About 10-15 mins later, their food arrived. And about 30-35 mins of my order (food have not arrived)...i asked the lady..."can u please check whether my food is being done, if not please cancel."

She came back and said, the cashier forgot to key in the order.(I was pissed). I said never mind then, i walk to the counter and paid for the drink ...8.90.

Went back to the mall to wait for my GF. I was really pissed off with the service...and decided to give the cafe a call. I asked, is the manager or captain around? The captain came to the phone...and i told him i want to make a complaint...i told him i was the guy, whose food was not prepared.

He said his staff got informed him abt it and he said sorry. I told him..."how come they have made such a mistake? If the place is full, i can understand...i asked him was the place full?..he said no. I told him that i have always like the place and tell people how good the service is. How come such a thing happend?"

"Better make sure, this mistake will not be repeated again".

He kept on saying sorry and promise it won;t happend again.

I told my GF, for the next 1 year...we will not be going to that place.
