Hi Nightwing, 35 years ago I spent an hour going thru the papers, past 10 years less than half hour. Past 5 years, 15 minutes. The present? 6 minutes.
I don't even watch CNN or muchTV news...like you mentioned, too many of these crimes and whatever.
So, instead I too listen to my CD's of oldies, I sleep better at nights.

News these days seem to report bad stuff only. I would like to believe there are good things to report but news channels know bad stuff gets people attention. But they forget, too much of something is not good either. So, when there is too much bad news, I turn to my comedy programmes. At least I go to bed feeling light and entertained.
I get tired of listening to the news sometimes. News is not news anymore. Instead of reporting the news, they shove their opinions on the viewers. I miss the days when we switched on the TV for news and we get news - clear and concise comprising of who, what, when, where and why. Nowadays, along with the 5 Ws, they throw in should have, could have, maybe, who knows. I have a brain, let me figure that out. :D

Ya, very sad indeed. And now read in the news, this happened because the mother let the child went to pasar malam alone. Most people (gathered from comments and crank calls to their phone), they blamed the mother for being reckless.
I don;t know, if it was true, maybe it was misjudgement from her side.
For now, hope the police catch the 'right' person that is involve and punish them accordingly.
